Bot Hed Role Playing System

Category: My Role Playing System by Angie Clever

As promised check out the latest role playing system offered free online.  This is a fun little system that gives you the starting point of a stranded astronaut with abunch of cool electronic skills.  The gist is you are a long way from home and need to explore an alien satellite, and maybe more.  I’ll release more plot lines later for you, but this is enough to get you started with you human characters.  I’ll release mech rules soon!  I’m thinking about integrating this in with my card game too, so that you could use the cool cards with illustrations as the extensions that go in the mech’s add-on slots (the ones marked ‘head’, ‘chest’, ect)

The Intro Role Playing Story….

Welcome to Meridian, or more formally Epsilon 61 Meridian- a G2 Spectral Class star located approximately 475 light years from earth. In 2081, on Earth, Professor Marcus Klien discovered a way to jumpstart the faulty fusion engine by initiating an antimatter reaction, sustained by fusion particles. For the first time in history, the nearest star could be reached in under 200 years. The discovery rocked the globe, invoking hot debate.

After a successful test of the engine without pilot, allowing travel from Earth to Pluto, the decision was made to make a manned attempt for the nearest star system, Alpha Centauri at 4.36 light years away. Due to ethical issues with human space travel, the Global Astro-Consortium, lead by Chinese colony minister of global service Bai Ao Wu circumvented the problem. The solution was to avoid sending people altogether. Genetic material would be sent in a specialized system. Upon safe arrival, an embryo would be created and start advanced development, spurred by the somatotropin (STH) hormone. Mental development would be spurred by visually adaptive artificial systems directly linked in the embryo’s forming brain. In three weeks, this system would produce a trained pilot, essentially appearing between the ages 18 to 25.
The launch went spectacularly, met with global celebration. For 56 years the earth remained in communication with the space vessels AI navigation system. In 2236 all communication abruptly stopped, and the earth abandoned the mission, considering the vessel lost. But the vessel was not lost. Solar dust particles encountered at high speed damaged the vessel irreparably, most notably, the communication relay devices and AI mainframe navigation systems. Without the relays, the messages broadcasted by the vessel fell on deaf ears, evaporating in to the nothingness of space. Without direction, the vessel careened aimlessly on, guided by a broken AI system.
Years later, the AI recognized a star within 40,000,000 km and set course using visible navigation only. The vessel docked at a metallic constructed satellite orbiting around a large green planet and initiated its genetic systems.
You are in a stasis tube, electronic connections are still held by your brain. The seals release. There is unfamiliar movement outside. You can communicate to the ship’s systems via electro-biotic chips implanted in your brain. Ship reports unusual activity. Your have sport-biotek, a stretchy polymer fabric that hardens when force is applied, suits on your body.
